| The Space
The new Koficore studio is located in the beautifully renovated Frank B. and Anne C. Semple Mansion carriage house.
The 20,867 square foot Neo-Classic Roman mansion was built in 1896 by Frank B. Semple. The mansion and carriage house were completed in 1899. After creating a fortune in the hardware business and having a chain of stores, Frank B. Semple completed the house and the Semple family resided in the estate until 1950 after which time the Franklin National Bank purchased the house and used it primarily for banking purposes. In 1985 Gilbertson & Hill Architects bought the mansion and carriage house and rented most of the property to businesses in the area. From 1995 to 2004 it was well known as the African-American Family Services building, the carriage house has remained unused since the early 90’s. The original purpose for this space was a horse barn with the servant’s quarters upstairs
Kofi welcomes you into this historical landmark to experience the old world charm with him!
